Solar PV Installation Assistant
Full time; $19-$22/hr based on experience
Habitat Studio began an in-house Solar PV design and installation department in 2019, and have completed over 500 kW of solar PV installations since then. We are looking for a hardworking individual who is keen to work and learn in the burgeoning renewable energy industry. Job Description
● Assist the installation of solar PV systems
● Gather and distribute material throughout work sites and in the warehouse, including up and down ladders
● Safely work with/around hand and power tools
● Ensure work sites are tidy and clean
● Assist Solar PV Designer with general office tasks
● Other general duties as assigned
Qualifications
● Valid drivers license with clean driving record
● Experience working in a construction field
● Ability to lift 50+ lbs
● Ability to work comfortably and safely at heights and on ladders
● Ability to work in all elements of outdoor work
● Willingness to learn and ask questions
● Adhere to all safety regulations
● Mechanical aptitude
Preferred assets, but not required
● Alternative Energy Technology student
● Provide your own basic hand tools and tool belt
● Personal vehicle
● Fall Protection certificate
